The Amazing Grace Rough Riders program is directed towards Veterans and their families of any age who have been diagnosed with PTSD, TBI, Physical Injuries, various emotional and psychological challenges, or are affected by homelessness. Our equine-assisted activity and therapy programs are tailored to address specific issues faced by military personnel and their family members.
To accomplish this mission, Amazing Grace Equine Therapy connects with the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and Clinics, Indiana National Guard Family Services Programs, local American Legion and VFW Posts, as well as individual veterans and their families to provide this unique opportunity to our country's bravest men and women.
We use horses and various equine activities to enhance communication, social-interaction, self-esteem, problem solving, confidence building and accomplishment as the structure behind our program. Providing these services in a non-clinical environment is also a significant benefit of our program, with an emphasis on 'just plain fun"!
